  1. The time the Danes were in Ireland they could make a drink of heather. One day an Irish Chieftain caught one of Danes and his son and put them in prison and said he would not let them out until they would tell how the drink was made.
    The old Dane said. ''Kill my son and I will tell you.''
    The chieftain's men killed the son. Then the Chieftains went back to the old Dane and asked him how the drink was made and the Dane said kill me for I will not tell you either.
