Even many Druids and Danes have been buried in this ancient graveyard.
Kill graveyard was once the site of a great building the ruins of which can still plainly be seen. This building was first a Catholic Church and the priest used to come every Sunday and read the Mass for the congregation there while someone kept guard in order to give the alarm should the Red Coats appear. This happened Sunday after Sunday but at last the priest hunters got doing their dreadful brutal work. One Sunday while the priest was reading Mass they came and shot him on the Altar.
