    One night a man was coming down the Virginia road on a horse and it happened to be very late in the night. When he had travelled about three miles he at last reached a house in which there was no one living.
    The man decided to get down off the horse and go into the house to see the kind of it inside.
    When he reached the door he found it was locked so he had to return to his horse and ride on the rest of his journey. Before he had gone very far he heard a sharp growl behind him and turning round he saw a big dog coming after him with fire coming out of his mouth.
    The man put his horse into a fast gallop
