    Seeing that it was impossible to get it out of the orchard Mr. Gilsenan decided to stay there until dawn. He said "I will get the apples and devil thank you, Blakney." At daybreak he succeeded in raising the bag from the ground. He arrived home at 6.30 in the morning none the worse of his experience with the ghost.
