- The water that washes the feet is thrown out, but the people used to say it should be thrown under a lone-bush.
- There are four forges in the parish of Lurgan. The forges are - Pat Kiernan's, Jack Reilly's, Matthew Garagan's and Paddy Morgan's. Pat Kiernan's father and grandfather and great grandfather were all blacksmiths for nine generations (black) back. Matthew Garagan's people were also blacksmiths for nine generations back.(continues on next page)
