    mas Eve night from the town of Virginia to Killenkere. It had been snowing for three days beforehand and he could not go home. He started off this night and did not know where he was going. He was walking on snow and not on land. When he was gone about one mile he saw a light. He walked till he got to the light and when he reached the light he saw a man with horns and chains. He asked him the way home and he would not tell. The man with the horns asked him to play a game of cards because he saw pound nots sticking out of the traveller's pocket. they started and the horned man won all the money off him. When he had the money won he said he
