    The animals are marked with raddle when sold and sometimes their hair clipped at the side and the buyers initials are marked on the side where the hair is clipped.
    When a horse is sold the halter is given away but when a cow is sold it is not given away.
    The local fairs are held in Virginia, Bailieboro, Ballyjamesduff, Oldcastle, Mullagh, Kells Kilnaleck and Cavan.
    They are not always held in towns.
    Buyers do not transact now but long ago
