    The cure of the heart-burn, Is to get some soda and milk, or chew a briar leaf swallow it and it will cure the heart-burn.
    The cure of the cut is to get a dog to lick the cut and it is supposed to heal the cut.
    The cure of the nettle is to get a docken and rub it to the sting and say ''docken, docken, cure me and I will praise you.''
    The cure of the bleeding is to get a cobweb and place it on the cut and it will stop the blood.
    The cure of the sore throat is to get Blessed Flannel from the nuns and tie it around your neck and it will cure the sore throat.
    The cure of the measles is to take a glass of punch and some whiskey and it is supposed to kill the measles.
    The cure of the mumps of to put a pair of winkers on the person and bring him around the pig-sty.
    The cure of a pain in the head is to take black tea without milk and very little sugar and in about an hour the pain will be gone.
