  2. One day a man named Marron was travelling in a cart from Shercock towards Carrickmacross. He was not far outside Shercock when a man stopped him and asked for a lift. he took him into the cart ans chatted with him along the way.
    He suddenly noticed that the man was barefoot and that he had strange cloven feet. When this strange man was getting out of the cart he gave Mr. Marron a ten
