If they don't get anything they often cause much trouble. When the people were coming home after the marriage they raced on horses to the bride's house to get a bottle of whiskey and go back to meet the bride. The bride and bridegroom would give the whiskey to the people and the bride would break the bottle against a stone. Friday is supposed to be an unlucky day to get married. The months of May and October are unlucky months to get married.
