- On the eve of St Brigids Day a number of boys go round from house to house. They are disguised and are called "Brídeogí". They carry a cloth doll supposed to be an image of St Brigid and they hold this up when they enter a house. Four of them take the floor and dance a four hand reel while a fifth supplies the music on a mouth organ or melodeon. The musician then sings an Irish song in honour of St Brigid. They collect money and spend it in the same way as the Wren Boys.
