  1. Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated on the seventeenth of March of each year. It is kept as a national holiday all over Ireland. It is kept as a holiday in honour of the Death of Saint Patrick.
Saint Patrick brought the true faith to Ireland and one Easter Sunday when he was explaining the Blessed Trinity at Tara the pagans could not understand how there were three persons in one God. Saint Patrick picked up a shamrock and showed them that there were three leaves in one stem.
The shamrock is still worn on St Patrick's Day in honour of Saint Patrick. Shamrocks are sent to other countries as it is said they wont grow in any soil except Irish soil. People send shamrocks to their relatives in other countries as no matter where any Irish man goes he always likes to get a shamrock on that Day
