    Strike the iron while its hot.
    Smooth water runs deep.
    There's many a slip, between the cup and the lip.
    It is too late, to spare, when all is spent.
    Empty vessels make most sound.
    A rolling stone gathers no moss.
    A lie has no legs
    Liars need good memory.
    A straw shows how the wind blows.
    A place for everything, and everything in its place.
    A glutton lives to eat, and a wise man eats to live.
    A straight tree may have crooked roots.
    Before you marry, be sure of a house where-in to tarry.
    Fain would the cat fish eat, but, she is loth to wet her feet.
    Convince a fool against his will, and his of his own opinion still.
    He that goes a borrowing, goes a sorrowing.
    A going foot will always light on something.
    The early bird catches the worm.
    He who loses the danger, shall perish therein.
    All is fair in love and war.
    Early to bed, and early to rise, is the way to be healthy, wealthy and wise.
