- Once upon a time a woman had a son and he was a simple fellow. They had a lot of money (of money) but they pretended to be poor. One day the mother was going to town and she told the son not to let the prost server get any of their money. And when his mother was away the prost server came in and the boy was playing with the gold sovereigns he thought they were buttons. The prost server wanted (wanted) to play with them too. He told the boy to get some. The boy went down to the crock and bought him up a handful of money but he said he had not enough so the boy (so they boy) went down to the crock and the prost server went down after and the man began to fill his pockets with money but the boy went down for the hatchet and split his head in two. Then he went out and dug a hole in the ground and buried him with soil. When his mother came home she asked him was the prost server there and he said he was (said he was_ and my mother said "Did you give him any money? and he said he did and(continues on next page)
