    Sometimes cows are marked with a keel and sometimes there is a lock of hair cut off their backs and sometimes there is a lump of "claber" is thrown on the cow's side. Pigs are always marked with a keel and each pigdealer has a choice colour.
    Locally it is said if you meet a red haired woman and you going to the fair with cattle you may turn back. The month of April is said to be a lucky month to sell cattle in.
