    The place where a young mayor foals it is believed that a four-leafed shamrock would grow there.
    It is believed that if you would start a job of a Saturday or of a Tuesday it would be unlucky. "Saturdays flit is a short sit".

  2. Mrs Johnnie Clarke reads the cards and Mary Susan Donohoe reads the cups. None of them ever read anything which came true. It is said it is unlucky to meet a magpie on the road early in the morning. the following are two rhymes heard locally about meeting magpies.
    "One for sorrow
    Two for mirth
    Three for marriage
    And four for a birth
