  1. There is supposed to be gold hidden in Loch Isturle, Clifferna, Laragh parish, Co. Cavan. It was Owen Smith, Knockategart, who told my father about it and he said no one knew how long it was there or who put it there. That story is out a long time yet no one tried to get it. If anyone attempts to go near the lake very early in the morning or late in the evening they will be pulled in by white horses that are guarding it.
