  1. Boys games are hide-and-seek, leap frog, Jolly Welsh man or Jolly workman, Football, Skittles, Horsey, Games with tops and marbles are not played.
    Nuts and blackberries are picked in the Autumn and at Halloween, the boys form bands and dress up with "false faces", and all sorts of odd garments and visit the houses round. They knock loudly at the doors, and expect presents of money nuts, or apples.
