- Long ago a ship of Spaniards came in near Kilbaha to get help, and they brought with them a cargo of oranges. The people of Kilbaha fired at it and after a few days it was dashed against the rocks and wrecked. The bodies floated in on the strand. The people began to argue whether they should be buried in the graveyard or not. Scapulars sprang up through the breast of one of them and he they buried in the graveyard. The rest are buired in Kilclougher and their graves are called the yellow graves and are to be seen yet.
