    house has to be kept clean so as to keep the milk clean. The cow house is very big and is divided into stalls and each cow has a stall for itself. When a cow gets its name when young it will always come when called by that name when it grows older. It is a custom never to milk cows on May Day because it is said to be very unlucky. When the cows are in the cowhouse they are tied to stakes.
