    Something borrowed; Something blue; horse shoes for luck are tied on the cars and rice confetti are thrown on the bridal couple. A wedding feast is help at the brides house and at night the Straw-boys come around looking for money. The first ten get a pound and the next 10 ten shillings between them. They are dressed in straw-hats and coats and their faces blackened.
    The hauling home is still a continued custom here and a party is given in honour of the bridal couple on their return home. In olden times the people raced each other to see who had the best drive and the wives accompanied their husbands on the same horse.
