    keil on the flank. Sometimes the hair is clipped on the legs. When the animals are sold they are put in a yard by the seller. If the buyer wants the halter it is sold to him. The greatest fairs of the year are the 12th May and November the 12 in Cavan. These are the hiring fairs for the half year. Ash Wednesday is the greatest fair in Belturbet. It is a horse fair too. There is special market in Cavan for bonhams the day before the fair.
