The people in older times had certain days for doing everything, some days were considered lucky days was Friday. It is said to be one of the luckiest days in the week for removing into a new house in starting any work it is also a lucky day for going on holidays. People always try to have their early potatoes plated on the 16th March as it is said it is unlucky o plant them after St Patricks day Old people thought it neer too late to plant potatoes when you can look through an ash tree.
