    the people used to be out before sunrise May morning to gather the clay that used to be in the cattle's hooves. Before they would churn they would put some of the clay under the churn so that they would have a lot of butter. The churning takes a half an hour in Summer and an hour in winter. The churning is done by hand and the churn-dash takes a rolling motion. When the dash is hard put around it is a sign that the churning is made. The butter is taken out with butter spades and put into a wooden dish.
