  1. This burning happened in December 1928. The house is owned by Mr. Ryan.
    The children were sick, and on that account a fire was kept in one of the rooms.
    There was a beam in front of the fire, and whatever happened, the beam caught fire. It was burning for some time unknown to the people of the house. At last the beam burst into flames, and the people had only time to save the children. The house and furniture were burned.
    After a time the house was rebuilt.
