    Here is a little story of how an evil-minded person laid a pishogue...

    about the cows and how he found the herring. The priest told him it was a pishogue laid by someone to injure his cattle, and that the hand would rot off the person who laid it. Within a few months a hand of his next door neighbour rotted off from the elbow.
