  1. There is a rock a few hundred yards at the back of Coolmeen Church. It is supposed to be a Mass rock it is high and wide. It has a hole in the middle of it.
    There is a Mass rock in Kilfidane and there is a quarry by it. It is on the side of a cliff. There is also an altar type in Rockmount in the parish of Coolmeen not far from the parish Church. While the priest was saying mass there were scouts on the three neighbouring hills to keep watch lest the soldiers should come.
