About a hundred years ago when the people were working in the slate-quarry in Glenpatrick a man was crushed to death there one day. He was working in a hole about a hundred feet deep when a stone fell down and killed him.
In 1918 when the awful flu raged through Ireland a lot of people lost their lives in Rathgormack. Three and four died in some houses.
Curtha síos ag Seán ó Dálaigh, ó innsint a athar, Pádraig ó Dálaigh, an Pháirc,Ráth-ó-gCormaic. Aois 50
