To get an ordinary stick and a hoop and bowl it and put it going and hit it with the stick.
Rings:
Long ago at the race courses pitching rings was a great pastime. Get six rings for a penny and keep firing them upon a crook and if you put one on, you would get three more turns.
Kites:
Get two sticks and place them like a cross and nail them. Then put twine all around it, on every side of it and sew paper on it. Then put a big long tail out of it and go against the wind and it would rise gently into the air. You should have a long twine tied out of it to keep it from going too far away.- Collector
