Strangers Corner:The only Strangers Corner in the parish is in the Old Church.
Unbaptised Children:There is no distinction as to unbaptised children and they are buried with their own people.
Outsiders:Most of outsiders buried in this parish come from the Nire and are buried in the Old Churchyard. Long ago these funerals came by the gap and as it is impossible to bring any kind of a wheeled vehicle that way the coffins had to be shouldered. Below Skehan's on the road there was a flat stone on which the coffins were placed while the people rested but it was blasted out of the way by the County Council some years ago.The funerals come now by the road which has to avoid the mountains and is about twice as long
