    that lived there were Butlers.The ruins of Mansfields' old house are standing yet and are situated on Quinlan's farm in Monadiha.There were three brothers living there , a captain and a colonel in the British Army and a farmer.They left that and went to Dublin to live and when they died they were buried in Glasnevin.
    There are 378 acres in Knockalavall.There are three farms of about a hundred acres each besides the cottages.
