- My native townland is Monadiha. It is a small townland for there are only 285 acres in it. There are seven houses in it, two thatched houses, three cottages and two farmer's houses. There are over forty people in it but none of them is a pensioner. The meaning of Monadiha is the bog of the tub. There are two lioses in the townland and there is a moat round one of them.
