    "Crottys Lake". These rocks are situated a few miles from Carrick on Suir on the Comeragh mountains in the County of Waterford. At these rocks there is a lake also called "Crotty's Lake" which almost covers the mouth of the cave where Crotty and his two confederates hid.
    How he got there I believe is still unknown, but according to his character people were to his not surprised how he got anywhere as he feared but little.

    His cave was once known to be surrounded by soldiers but they did not know whether he was in the cave or not as he did not come
