    forth neither did they get any indication whether their prey was in hiding there but when they were about to give up hopes one of the raiders decided to be lowered by a rope into the cave which at once was agreed upon but he had not descended far when the outlaw had him safely secure where he he held him till he had taken an oath that he would not divulge that he had seen him. This having been done he allowed him his freedom.
