- (There are a great many forts in our district.) There are a great many forts in our district. There are two in the townland of Clogher, one on a hill in the farm belonging to Eddie McDonnell and the other is in a farm of Miss McIvoris. There is another one in the townland of Toam. It is situated on the top of a hill in a farm belonging to James Ross. There is another in the townland of Tonyscallon it is situated on a hill in a farm of Edward backranes. There is another one in the townland of Tonyglasson. It is situated in a hollow in the farm of James Ross. The two in Clogher are in view of each other. The one in Toam is in view of the one in Tonnyscallon. There one in Tonnyglasson is not in view of any of them. The one in Miss McIvoris' farm seems to have been surrounded by an earthen ditch but it is all broken down now. The forth itself is covered over with (grass?). There are no signs of any hole or entrance in it. The other one in Clogher in Edward McDonells farm is surrounded by a fence with bushes.(continues on next page)
