Another field is called "Tharlas". It got that name from its owner who was named Tharla or sometimes the Taylor.

Cullentrew - bán is the name of another field. This field is always covered with daisies and therefore its name.

Long ago a red-haired woman owned a certain field. When she grew old the natives called her "Granny rabha". After her death the field was called "The Granny rabha field".

A field in Dunaree is called the "Carraige" which means "the rock". It was so called because it was always whinny and rocky.

Another is called the "lime kiln" because lime was burned there long ago.

A field in Donaghmoyne is called the "Páirc Bhán" on account of its clay being whiter than any other clay in the neighbourhood.

Another field is called "Purgatory" because it is so hard to manage as its heights are never wet and the hollows are never dry.

"The "Spring-pond field" and the "Bee field" are the names of two other fields. A large pond is in the centre of the "Spring-pond field" and the "Bee field " was so called because the wood of the trees that grew in it long ago was great for making bee-hives.
