- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)this house. As he approached each gate it opened and shut behind him and he could not see anyone open it or shut it for him. He rapped at the door and the maid answered him. He asked her did she know of anyone sick and she said she did not. She told him to come in and have some refreshments and stay till the storm blew past. He agreed and when the horse was sheltered, the wife and husband of the house and their daughter and father-in-law sat down to tea. When tea was over and them all sitting round the fire, the father-in-law collapsed and the priest was just in time to give him the last sacraments. He died. It must have been a good spirit that told this priest to go to this house on such stormy night. This is a true story.
