The Red Gasson said to the other fellow "Go up there" he went up steps and steps until he could go no father. The Red Gasson said to the other fellow "what did you see." He said he saw hevan and his mother in it. Then he told him to go down steps. He went down and down until he could go no farther. Oh says he "I saw hell and my father on it and thousands of people too. Now said the Red Gasson: Go home. When you were leaving the house you made a rash promise that you would never sleep two nights in the one house or one night in your own house until you would know the difference between your father and mother. I am an angel that God sent and that cripple that I drowned was sevan years on that side of the river. If he had got to the other side he would sin. Now he is gone straight to heaven. That child that I killed the father and mother were teaching it bad. When he would grow up he would beat them and commit sin. Now it is gone to heaven.
