A few years ago a man named Mr. John Kinkade of Drumbinnis was ploughing on Coroneary Hill where the castle was. As he was going down the field the plough slipped, it went down a long path which led up to the castle. It is said there is a pot of gold under it which was hid in the time that the castle was there. Gold was hid in Coroneary Lake also and it is said that there is a cat minding it.
