2. The Harvest Men of Loughanleagh

   You boys around this country give ear to what I say;
   Do not be fond of rambling from the Mount of Loughanlea;
   But think of those poor fellows that wrought with hook and scythe,
   For to try and rise a fortune, near the town of Malahide.

   These boys they did assemble, and they had an interview,
   Saying, "If this is a good season we will buy a calf or two.
   So each of them consented, and they said, "it's very good"
   And they took a train next morning from outside Kilmainhamwood.

   When they arrived in Dublin, and marching up and down,
   A County Dublin farmer came riding into town.
   He started them some questions, and he says, "My gentlemen,
   What is your position and from whence or where you kem."
