    If a person had warts it was said they would be cured by rubbing a snail to them.
    The cure for mumps was to put a halter around the neck and walk around the pig-sty three times shouting Hursh na muca cure the mumps.
    The cure for whooping cough was to go to the owner of a piebald pony and he would tell the person something to eat or drink.
    To cure rheumatism the berries of a broom bush would be boiled and given to the person to drink.
