    These are the names of the various kinds of potatoes, Kerrs Pinks, Aran banners, Aran Victors, Aran Chiefs, Presidents, Epicures and Flounders.
    Long ago starch was made from potatoes. The water that peeled potatoes were washed in would be left sitting for awhile. When the water would be drained off there would be paste or starch in the bottom of the vessel. Then hot water would be poured on this and it would be used as starch
