    with a fort something bad will happen to them. Fires used to be lighted long ago on forts for warning of approaching danger. The people in the forts lighted their fires. This was seen by the inhabitants of other forts who were thus warned and ready for the enemy's approach. There is a fort on every high hill in Co. Cavan.
