Padna N - living near Truagh had many amusing exploits before he was married. He was a fine, tall, good-looking man but hard to be pleased in a bride. His match was making with a girl from the borders of Killaloe. Before the final arrangements 'tis customary for the bride's people to give a supper followed with a dance for to give the young couple a chance to become acquainted.
