  1. On the first of April ninteen hundred and eighteen a man and a little boy were proceeding on their journey home from Killaloe. They had a horse and cart. It was a very stormy day and the ground was covered over with a white mantle of snow. On their journey they a person who advised them not to go home that they were liable to get lost. But they were not satisfied so they set out on their journey homewards. As they were facing home the snow was getting much heavier. They left the car at Gleesons because they were not able to take it through the snow. They
