- (continued from previous page)there was a big tomb erected over him in 1883. There is also another tomb erected in memory of him at Tineranna gate on the right hand side of the road as you go to Killaloe.
His agent was Mr. Hunt in Limerick and he used to come to Killaloe to collect the rent. When any two farmers had a rough they would go before Mr. Purdons green table and he would settle the matter. He used to travel on horseback and in a carriage.- Collector
