    fell a corpse by the side of the man he had murdered. As he did not return when expected the woman who knew of his errand got a party to search for him. When his body and tat of his victim were found his treasure was discovered. The story says O' Briens remains were buried in a place where the sun cold always shine on his grave, whilst those of his murderer where the sun would never shine. There is no account of the treasure having ever been ever discovered nor is there anything to show on what part of the mountain the graves are located.
    There seems to have been a very considerable period during which this district was entirely de-populated. The ancestors of mostly all the people at present living here, came to the place about 150 to possibly 170 years ago. A number of the old customs have died out.
    The sticking of branches of "Quicken" in the growing crops was fairly general on May Eve. Another custom practised by a few families only was Water from a stream where the boundaries of four farms met was brought into the house.
