In 1917, there was a terrible fall of snow which began Palm Sunday (April). Numbers of sheep and cattle were lost and two, an Uncle and nephew, named Vaughan were lost coming from Killaloe to Kilbane place of residence.
They were laid out on the same bed, a large four poster and buried in the same grave and then one mortuary card did for the two.
We had a great fall of snow in February 1936, in 1937.
