be buried stepped into the grave and took away the sheet saying "this is of no use to you ,my father .It may be of use to me for I am both hungry and cold".
An old chaplin of large dimensions stood there many years ago.The foundation of this church was found by the late James Duggan.
The burial place was always called the "Cill".It is rather of an oval shape and sloping in all directions particularly to the south .A little headstone is erected there to the memory of a child of the Duggan family.A rather peculiar stone and white-thorn stand in the field very near the Cill.
It is said a wooden cross had been erected beside there .The people went to pray there for years after the old church had been demolished.
The other burial place is in "Cnoc na Leacht".
There were hundreds of people buried there in the times of the famine. There was a poorhouse also there. It has been related that people were dying so fast that one coffin had often to be used four or five times ,bringing people to be buried.
This burial place must have been very ancient .It is supposed that some of the chieftains were killed at the battle of Kilbarron were buried there.
