    Mr Mac Donnell was the Landlord of all the townland of Doora and Ballyvanavan His son is still landlord of the mine He lived in Newhall he also had a residence in England and a big estate there
    His agent was Mr Healy of Upper Manus His days for collecting the rent were the first of November and the first of May Mr Mac Donnell had a big estate and he sold portions of it to different people at different times when he was getting old and when he was in need of money.
    He gave 600 acres to his agent who evicted all the tenants on it There was a very heavy rent on the tenants in those days and if they had not the money ready when he would call he would put them out They could not plough a
